Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 August 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and LivZio for your use of livzio.in. By using the platform — whether or not you create an account — you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the platform.
In short
- LivZio is an information platform. We are not a party to your contract with any designer.
- Reviews are written by homeowners. They are their statements, not ours.
- You keep ownership of what you post; you give us permission to publish it.
- LivScores are computed from moderated reviews. They cannot be bought.
- We are an intermediary under Indian law and act on valid legal orders.
- Indian law applies, and the courts named below have jurisdiction.
This summary is for convenience only. The full sections below are what apply.
1.About these terms, and the documents that go with them
The platform is operated by LivZio (sole proprietorship), at Tower 3, 621, S&P Courtyard, Kamarajar Street, Kil Ayanambakkam, Chennai 600095, Tamil Nadu, India. These terms incorporate, and should be read with: • The Privacy Policy — what we do with personal data • The Review Policy — the rules for reviews and how we handle disputes about them • The Community Guidelines — the rules for everything you post • The Takedown & Grievance Policy — how to report content and complain Together these are the "rules, regulations, privacy policy and user agreement" that Rule 3(1)(a) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 requires us to publish. Where a specialised policy conflicts with these terms on its own subject, the specialised policy governs. We may change these terms. Material changes will be brought to your attention, and the date above records the last revision. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept it.
2.What LivZio is, and what it is not
LivZio is an information platform. We publish homeowner reviews of interior designers and contractors, compute scores from those reviews, host discussion boards, and provide tools that help homeowners track a project and understand a quotation. LivZio is not: • A party to any contract between you and a designer • An agent, broker, guarantor or surety for any designer • A provider of interior design, construction or contracting services • A source of legal, financial, structural or professional advice We do not introduce designers to homeowners for a fee, we do not take a commission on work, and we do not hold anyone's money. Everything on LivSafe and in the quote analyser is general guidance produced to help you ask better questions. It is not advice on your situation, it is not a substitute for a professional, and a quotation the analyser rates well can still be a bad deal. Decisions about who to hire and what to pay are yours. We are an intermediary within the meaning of section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000. Content submitted by users is third-party information; we do not initiate it, select its receiver, or modify it, save for moderation carried out under our published policies.
3.The quote analyser, and what its output is
The quote analyser reads a quotation or bill of materials you upload and returns an assessment of it. This section governs that feature specifically, because it differs from the rest of the platform in an important way. Reviews are written by users. The analyser's output is produced by us. It is our content, not a user's, and we do not shelter it behind the protections that apply to user content. So we are direct about what it is and is not. What it is: a comparison of the document you uploaded against general market information, expressed as observations, ranges and questions worth asking. It is generated automatically using an AI model. What it is not: • Professional advice — it is not valuation, engineering, architectural, legal, financial or tax advice, and no professional relationship arises from using it • A statement about any named designer's honesty, competence or conduct. Where output refers to pricing being above or below a range, that is a comparison against general market information and nothing more. It is not an assertion that anyone has overcharged you or acted improperly. • A guarantee of anything. A quotation the analyser reports favourably can still be a poor deal, and one it flags can be entirely reasonable for work you have not described to it. • A substitute for reading the contract, checking references and taking advice on a significant financial commitment AI models make mistakes. The output can be wrong, incomplete, or misread a document, and it is only as good as what you uploaded. Check anything you intend to rely on. You must be entitled to upload what you upload. Quotations are often marked confidential and may contain the designer's pricing and commercial information. By uploading you confirm you have the right to share the document with us for analysis. We do not republish individual quotations. The document you upload is sent to a third-party AI provider to be processed. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is transmitted. If you would rather that did not happen, do not use the feature. Decisions about who to engage and what to pay remain yours.
4.Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. You can browse without an account. An account is required to use LivTrack, save quote analyses, post on discussion boards, and manage reviews you have submitted. We authenticate accounts by Google sign-in, mobile OTP or an email sign-in link. You are responsible for keeping access to whichever you use, and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it. Information you give us — your name, city, apartment, tower and unit — must be accurate, and you must keep it current. Some features rely on it: posting on an apartment community board is limited to residents of that apartment, checked against your profile. Entering an apartment you do not live in to gain access to its board is a breach of these terms. You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or our Community Guidelines, as set out in those guidelines.
5.Content you submit
You keep ownership of everything you post. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting, publish, display and distribute that content on the platform and in connection with promoting the platform, for as long as it remains published and for a reasonable period afterwards in our records. The licence exists so we can run the service; it does not let us sell your content or pass it to designers. You confirm, each time you post, that: • The content is your own genuine experience and honest opinion • You have the right to post it, including any photographs • It does not infringe anyone's rights, and does not contain another person's personal data you have no basis to share • It complies with our Review Policy and Community Guidelines You are responsible for what you post. We do not verify the truth of user content and publishing it is not our endorsement of it — see the Review Policy, which explains this in detail. We may moderate, decline, edit for policy compliance, or remove content under our published policies. We are not obliged to publish anything you submit. Feedback and suggestions you send us may be used without obligation to you.
6.Acceptable use
Rule 3(1)(b) of the IT Rules, 2021 requires us to inform you of, and to ensure your compliance with, the following. You must not host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, store, update or share any information that: • Belongs to another person and to which you do not have any right • Is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another's privacy including bodily privacy, insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, libellous, racially or ethnically objectionable, relating to or encouraging money laundering or gambling, or otherwise inconsistent with or contrary to the laws in force • Is harmful to a child • Infringes any patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary rights • Deceives or misleads the addressee about the origin of the message, or knowingly and intentionally communicates any information which is patently false or misleading in nature but may reasonably be perceived as a fact • Impersonates another person • Threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign States, or public order, or causes incitement to the commission of any cognisable offence, or prevents investigation of any offence, or is insulting to any foreign State • Contains a software virus or any other computer code, file or program designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer resource • Is in the nature of an online game not verified as a permissible online game In addition, and specific to this platform, you must not: • Submit false, fabricated, paid or incentivised content, or content about a business you are connected with • Offer or accept anything in exchange for writing, changing, withdrawing or refraining from a review • Fail to disclose a material connection to a business you are writing about — including payment, a discount, free work, a gift, a barter, or a family, personal or employment relationship • Attempt to manipulate scores, ratings or rankings, including by coordinated posting • Raise false or frivolous complaints, or register a grievance you know to be baseless • Scrape, crawl or harvest data from the platform, or access it by automated means, without our written permission • Copy or republish substantial parts of the platform's content, including review text and score data • Reverse engineer, interfere with, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform or its infrastructure • Use the platform to advertise or solicit business Impersonating another person and raising false or frivolous grievances are also breaches of the duties section 15 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 places on you directly, and can attract a penalty under that Act independently of anything we do. We reserve the right, but do not assume an obligation, to review, moderate, label or remove content. Where you breach these terms we may remove the content and terminate your access, and we may report conduct that appears criminal to the authorities.
7.Designers, listings and scores
Designer listings are created by us or added by homeowners recording who worked on their project. A listing is a factual directory entry. Being listed is not a certification, endorsement or recommendation by LivZio, and being unlisted means nothing about a business. LivScores and subscores are computed from moderated reviews using our own methodology, which may change as the platform develops. They are an aggregate of homeowner opinion, not an objective measurement of quality, and we do not warrant that any score, statistic or profile detail is accurate or current. No designer can pay for a listing, for placement, for a better score, or for the removal or suppression of a review. This applies without exception, and any commercial arrangement we may enter into in future will say so expressly. If you are a designer and want to correct factual details of your listing, or respond to a review, write to grievance@livzio.in. Our Review Policy sets out what we will and will not do about a review you dispute.
8.Your dealings with designers are your own
This is the substance of what people most often want to know, so it is stated directly. Any contract you enter into with a designer is between you and that designer. We are not a party to it, we do not vet designers, and we do not supervise, guarantee, insure or stand behind anyone's work, timelines, pricing or conduct. If something goes wrong on your project — delay, poor workmanship, an advance not accounted for, a dispute over materials — that is a matter between you and the designer, and any remedy lies against them. LivZio has no role in it and accepts no liability for it. You should satisfy yourself about any designer independently, including by checking their registration, insurance, references and contract terms. Equally, if you are a designer and a homeowner has written something about you that you say is wrong, your claim lies against the person who wrote it, not against us for having published a user's statement. We will comply with any order a court makes. What we do accept is the responsibility the law places on us as an intermediary: to publish and apply our policies, to operate the grievance mechanism described in our Takedown Policy, and to act on valid orders of a court or authorised government agency. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude those obligations, and no disclaimer here operates to remove a liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9.Our intellectual property
The LivZio name, logo, design, software, editorial content, scoring methodology and the compilation of the directory are owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by Indian and international law. You may use the platform for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may link to pages, and quote short extracts with attribution. You may not otherwise copy, adapt, republish or exploit the platform or its contents, and you may not use our name or logo without written permission. If you believe content on the platform infringes your copyright or trade mark, our Takedown Policy explains how to tell us.
10.Availability and changes to the platform
We provide the platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. We may change, suspend or discontinue any feature at any time. Some features described on the site are still being built, and we may withdraw them. LivTrack is a tracking tool, not a system of record. Keep your own copies of contracts, invoices and payment proofs. Do not rely on a shared report as evidence of anything.
11.Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business, goodwill, data or anticipated savings. • We are not liable for loss arising from your dealings with any designer, from your reliance on any review, score or guidance on the platform, or from any decision you take about hiring, paying or contracting with anyone. • We are not liable for content posted by users, to the extent permitted by section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000. • Where we are found liable despite the above, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose or ₹5,000, whichever is greater. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Indian law, including liability for fraud, or any right you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from content you post or from your breach of these terms — but not to the extent the claim arises from our own breach or from how we exercised our own moderation judgement.
12.Grievances
If you have a complaint about the platform, about content on it, or about how we have handled something, write to our Grievance Officer, whose details are below. We acknowledge grievances within 24 hours and dispose of them within 7 days, under Rule 3(2) of the IT Rules, 2021 as amended in 2026. Removal requests under Rule 3(1)(b) are actioned within 36 hours, and non-consensual intimate imagery or impersonation within 2 hours. Valid court and government orders are acted on within the prescribed period and in any event no later than 36 hours. If you are unhappy with the outcome, you may appeal within 30 days to a Grievance Appellate Committee constituted under Rule 3A of those Rules, online at https://gac.gov.in. We comply with the Committee's orders. Our Takedown Policy explains the full process. We will remind you of these terms and our policies, and of the consequences of not complying with them, at least once a year and whenever they materially change, as Rule 3(1)(f) requires.
13.Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the grievance process above, the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of the platform. Nothing in this section affects any right you have to bring a consumer complaint before a forum with jurisdiction where you reside, under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest continues in force. Our not enforcing a term on one occasion is not a waiver of it.
