Beautiful Interiors, But Brace Yourself for the Wait
Priya Design Studio did stunning work in our Prestige Finsbury Park flat — after a 3-week delay that tested our patience.
We purchased a 3BHK in Prestige Finsbury Park North with the intention of investing in a quality fit-out rather than cutting corners. After researching on LivZio and speaking to two neighbours who had recently completed their work, Priya Design Studio came highly recommended for their design quality.
The initial meetings were encouraging. The lead designer, Priya herself, spent nearly three hours in our home on the first visit understanding how we use each room. The brief we co-created was detailed: warm oak-tone carpentry throughout, a kitchen that functioned as an entertainment hub, and a master bedroom that felt like a boutique hotel.
The 3D renders that came back three weeks later were extraordinary — better than anything else we had seen. We approved them with only minor tweaks. Then execution started, and the timeline experience diverged sharply from the design experience.
By week six of what was supposed to be a fourteen-week execution, we were only at the carpentry carcass stage. When we asked the site coordinator for a revised schedule, responses came slowly and were vague. We eventually emailed Priya directly, who jumped in immediately and provided a new week-by-week plan. This escalation shouldn't have been necessary.
The final result, when we stepped in at handover, made us forget a lot of the frustration. The kitchen joinery is perfect. The master wardrobe with its integrated LED channels is deeply satisfying to use. Priya's post-handover responsiveness has also been excellent — two small snag items were addressed within two working days.
Our honest advice: budget three weeks of schedule buffer when you book Priya Design Studio and get a formal communication cadence written into your contract before signing.

Timeline Breakdown
Three-hour walkthrough, detailed brief documented.
3D renders, two iterations, material palette finalised.
Oak veneer, hardware, tiles, fixtures ordered.
Builder tiles removed, plumbing adjustments made.
Ran 3 weeks over estimated 3 weeks due to workforce capacity.
Integrated lighting, painting, tiling completed.
Extended by delay upstream; snag clearance itself was thorough.
Lessons Learned
- 1Specify a communication cadence (e.g. written weekly update) as a contract term, not an informal expectation.
- 2Ask the studio how many active projects they are running concurrently during your execution window.
- 3Push for a realistic execution timeline during quoting — studios often quote optimistically to win the contract.
- 4Know who to escalate to before a problem arises — don't discover the escalation path mid-crisis.
- 5A beautiful outcome doesn't fully compensate for a stressful process — weigh process track record as heavily as portfolio.
